I have a small XM radio I've been using in a Honda Odyssey by having the frame inserted in the air vent (if that makes sense -- i.e., it is not officially installed). I am completely addicted to it -- any way to use it in the Prius, and how should I do it -- the center air vents seem small compared to those in the Odyssey.

Well, it's a little hard to tell what you're asking. If you have something like an XM Roady and a bracket that snaps onto the vent to hold the control unit then it is easy to transfer that to the Prius. If you prefer to not block the vent there are other mounting options available...a search at ebay or elsewhere will reveal them.
