Cute. If it was electric and met my speed and range requirements, I'd buy one. I gather the gas version has worse FE than the Prius, though the Smart is a lot cheaper.

I saw one like that while heading into the city last week. It zoomed past the normal traffic flow (speeding).

I saw one from Ontario visiting northern Minnesota last weekend.

They are amazingly short cars... making Prius look enormous in comparison.

Even the Honda Fit makes the Prius look huge!

The SMART is designed to achieve 40 plus mpg under normal driving conditions and current standards. The gas tank of the smart fortwo is 8.7 gallons. ;)

Thats 7 mpgs less than the Prius when they average 47mpg.

The SMART's top speed of the fortwo is 90 mph (Electronicly limited).

Here in Montreal, Quebec, the Smart actually outnumbers Prius sold/seen.

What contributed to this is that the sale price of the Smart is much lower than the Prius base model.

So it appeals more to the young crowd, on a budget, that don't have kids yet, or the elderly.

When I pass one on the highway I totally gun the motor, I'm sure I make them budge left/right with the wind pressure differential.
