smoky marking on headlight plastics

    Just bought our 2008 Prius a couple of weeks ago.

    Does anyone else have (or heard of) the headlight plastics being smoky/fuzzy, as if someone's cleaned them with some acid? Not sure if the fuzziness is on the inside or the outside. It's not condensation, but looks similar.

    The plastic exterior deteriorates from UV exposure. You can purchase a "plastic restoration polish" at your local auto parts store.

    Thanks! I hope others will find this info useful. Just make sure you apply the UV protector or else they will oxidize again.
