First was a prepainted bumper that was coated in talc to prevent the first layer of special body wrapping foam from sticking. Then about 4" of bubble wrap on each side, reinforced with a cardboard layer and finally wrapped in plastic wrap.

It arrived in perfect shape and paint was beautiful.

The second was a new fender liner.....
    In a box
    With big staples...

Is this some type of memory plastic I'm unaware of???

I know, I'm laughing and crying at the same time....

At first I had no Idea what it was, I haven't ordered anything that size.
I thought the fender liner was the packing material at first.

The picture does not do it justice, the box is only 10" wide. maybe 12" long.

Yeah I bought a fender liner off eBay once too and it was a piece of junk just like that.
Looked nice in the picture though lol. I threw it out. The oem online wasn’t too bad.
The cheap online bumpers are awful too there so thin they look like crap installed there super wavy and thin, probably flop around driving down the road. They look ok sitting there off the car but after install it’s bad.
Especially if on a dark car.
I bought a used oem bumper from Todd in Tampa so waiting till I get hit in the back again lol.

But haven’t been hit since I put a motorcycle blinker on my third tail light. Nice very noticeable blink 4 times
Every time you hit the brakes,

The fender liner might be just fine; unroll it and install, see how it goes. A bit of massage with a heat gun might help too. It is just a flexible shield, inside the front wheel well.

I agree. I'd give it a try. Since it's small enough, maybe put it in an oven at a low temp, or in a sink/bucket of hot water, then remove it and work it out by hand while it's pliable. What do you have to lose?

I've had that liner almost completely out, it's very bendy. There's an internal steel bar splice with 3 bolts, that turn into lumps of rust after a few years. There's also one plastic fastener at the back that pretty much have to be destroyed to remove.
