i went to disable the reverse beep and seatbelt beep again that got reset when i pulled out the dome fuse. well anyway my ODO switched to a weird series of numbers, and kept changing from d to e on the end. not too sure what this was all about, but grabbed my camera to show you guys.

just tried to do it again and this time i powered the car on and the ODO had - - - - and each second one disappeared from - - - - to - - - to - - to - and so on till my ODO said 000000, at first i thought i reset the whole ODO lol! but unfortunately it went back to my 9800 miles :(

but still this is really weird!!

    could it be my DICE??

It's very unlikely that anything on the entertainment LAN could affect the odometer display. I don't know exactly what you are doing, but there are a few "dances" with Power, Trip, and light switches that can bring up different functions and displays. Did you disable the inside speaker beeps?

I don't know what the letters are about, but that odometer behavior, with the dashes counting down like that, indicates that you've inadvertently reset the "maintenance reminder" light (goes off every 5k miles to remind you to change oil). We'll have to wait for the true experts to shed some light on your strange alphanumerics.

Could the "D" and "E" indicate that the beep was Disabled or Enabled?

You probably went into the mode to reset the fuel-gauge inclinometers,
which if you didn't complete or didn't have the car level at the time
could make your gas gauge even less accurate than it was before.

Were the digits changing as you bounced around in the seat? That
    would be a good indicator.
