I could not believe my eyes when I read that headline, but apparently this is not an uncommon occurrence. In these small hospitals that have sprung up throughout the country that specialize in doing select procedures (it is more profitable to own this type of hospital than one that provides general services), when a patient has a problem that they can't deal with, they call 911. As a result, patients die while waiting to be taken to a "real" hospital.

A recent case has raised questions about the ability of small hospitals to care for patients who suffer complications.

I'm not surprised. There is a hospital located on the Willingboro/Burlington border that left me lay in Intesive Care for 8 hours with a heart attack while the slacking staff stood around the nurse's station shooting the BS. IMO those people and that place is worthless.
