It's snow tire season, so that might be a factor, but:

It's impossible to select a lower mainland "warehouse" for tires, and there's this banner up the top of page. Also, the direct line to tire shop at the Port Coquitlam warehouse just rings, and second attempt, not even that.

Perhaps you need to cross the border.:D
My nearest Costcos are 2 hours away though,

They're just "snowed under" with snow tire installs, so shutting down the web ordering, should be back up Monday.

You do not get snow on the coast, do you?

Not normally. But that's changing...last year was unusually cold and snowy, and we've already had some 'early' snowfall this year. Because of the humidity and near-zero temperatures, the snow quickly turns to ice and can be very treacherous, as opposed to snow that falls and just blows around. This stuff melts, then sticks, then freezes, then melts.....

We had a dusting last Friday. Not the norm, and unusually early. Mostly winters just wet and cold, but snow tire adoption is fairly prevalent.

We have not yet had any First big freeze (21F) due tonight. IF you inquire here, tire dealers say they could special order snow tires.

Sounds like much of the UK.

They don't invest in much snow clearance equipment, because it doesn't usually last for more than a few days. Results in chaos when there's an unusually large fall and the roads get blocked.

Many of them don't self-exile to the coast all winter, but occasionally like to head up and inland into or through the regular snow zone for various reasons.

Just across the border, down here in the states, many of us do the same. We've already had lowland snow. I-90 across Snoqualmie Pass has already had several closures for the usual 'multiple spinouts and collisions' in snowy conditions. These shutdowns will only get more frequent as winter approaches.

I guess so, with the snow tire rush. Reminds me of a guy at my ex-work, he HAD to get some stuff done, undisturbed, so he taped a "DO NOT DISTURB" notice, to his back. :ROFLMAO:

Yes, the climate is quite similar. Not too hot, not too cold, and things are green all year round. We're learning to stockpile more sand and salt to cope with the changes, but it's still chaos when it snows.

Hey, you said 'tire'. Twice. Is the spell chequer broken? ;)

This is getting to be an old chestnut. It's the website doesn't seem to allow "t.y.r.e" and autocorrects it to tire. (n)

Monday, local warehouse locations were available, but today they are locked out again. Michelin tires are $70 off on a set of 4 (at the till), through December 03, btw.

The thing is that it keeps it true tool you post and then changes it when you post, so you don't notice unless you review your own posting. Had me baffled for quite a while because I didn't believe it!

When you go back into edit mode it still says t.y.r.e. I'll wager?

I have the same problem with intentional broken English, d.u.n.n.o. for example.
