Saying you "cheated" means you're keeping your '04 Prius too?

Good luck with your new ride and let us know how it goes. Oh, and what's up with that blue tub in the pic?

Heat from the charger could become a problem covered like that.

    How long is the cord?

    Congrats. Your gonna love it.
Keeping the Prius too, or just selling it privately?

So did you go there just flirting with the idea of a test drive, and then the drive just say wow.. this is what I want. (Its what happened to me.. I now encourage people to have their finances in order when they go for a test drive).

Did you get a good deal? (It's clearly a dealer demo with the text on the side.)

Assuming the standard Volt cord, its about 21' long.
Being covered is not really an issue.

Charging with all of the cord wrapped around the handle is more of an issue as the inner windings cannot vent at all and get heating from the next layer. Though this time of year outdoors in Georgia the ambient temps are probably cool enough that none of it matters.

    It was raining this weekend..
Although i'm assuming the charger cable is waterproof, i didn't want the new shiny charger to get all wet and dirty. (because i carry the charger with me inside the car too)

Give me a week (or a few days) ill give a complete review on it..

If anyone in the Atlanta area, wants to take a testdrive, i may entertain it, send a PM. (in exchange of helping me write a review too).

I'll try to answer anyone's questions if possible.

yes, charger cable is about 20' long or so. but its big and bulky, about 12 or 14 gauge cable

Thank God you didn't buy a stupid Leaf! New Yars eve in the appalacians there was a terrible traffic jam when a Leaf quit running as it was going up the mtn beside a broken down semi. The owner stated that at the base his car said he had 15 miles left, but going up hill floored ate that up rather quickly!

The Volt is really nice looking though, and at least the gas motor kicks in when you get low on juice.

    Wow...

Personally? I'd want something a little more subtle than the huge VOLT decal on the side.

    Is that on both sides?

Congratulations, Good Luck, Enjoy....but to be honest that just looks too Cartoonish.

I hope it was one hell of a discount! Big large target comes to mind!
However, I am very interested in the results that you are going to have. I look forward to your future posts. I have not found one parked with the owner nearby to ask questions!
When I replace the Prius in 2015, (that's when my warranty runs out), I will be considering a pure or almost pure electric product. Toyota look out, I expect great strides in EV ETC by the time I go looking for a new car!

Certainly, and I didn't mean to trash you whole experience. Enjoy the vehicle.

Personal preference, but if you don't want it, I'm also assuming they can't make you keep it.

If I was you I'd be talking to body shops about the best way to carefully have it removed.

Thanks for the picks.. Don't worry about your efficiency you'll get better with a little practice.

At least in from ov though Jan 3, the dealers received a $1500 incentive for selling the demos to "prep the car (i.e. removing the decal) and depreciation. Hope you got some of that in your deal to drive it off. Any body shop can remove it but presuming its like other decals or clear bras, its something you could do yourself too.

Hair dryer to warm the decal up and make it more pliable while peeling off. Rubbing alcohol or wax/grease remover for the residue and a rewax will take care of it.
