south Texas newbee

    New to forum, had my '06 about a year now. I get 55-57mpg.
    Love the car, thinking of putting a hitch on her to tow a motorcycle camper because I miss camping. Any ideas?

    Hi turtleboy, welcome to PriusChat! :welcome:

    While the Prius isn't rated for any towing, many people do with no seeming ill effects. On the other hand, you can fold down the back seats, put an air mattress in the back, and sleep in the car. Hobbit has a hack for running the fan for ventilation. Then there's always a Napier tent.

    I've never seem a Prius tow a motorcycle. Be careful and don't overwork your trans...cruiser bikes weigh from 650 to 800+ lbs. Sport bikes don't weigh that much. Let us know how it work out on your end. Regards.
