First of all, I admit I listen to loud music very loudly in my car (is there any other way?) And while the health of my speakers sounds fine (I've had the car since sept), every once in awhile I'll change the volume (it's only happened while using the knob so far) up or down, and there will be a "pop" sound. It's usually fairly quiet and seems unrelated to the actual volume, but lately its gotten louder. It happens on different CDs (I don't listen to anything else) I am wondering if this is a sign of a malfunction or a symptom of my speakers about to blow. I'm voting on the latter at the moment... any ideas?

it has happened to me too. Not sure... it's strange.. i'm sure i could think of why.. but i'm sure i couldn't come up with a solution.. just a bad day today. Several times with volume at max. currently boss headphones are at max.

older stereo systems have this happen. but yeah.. i think it's fine. It's very rare and only at high volumes. If it happens all the time.. well... you could be wearing something out. *shrug*
