Sportswriter Compares Greg Maddux to Prius

San Diego sportswriter Tim Sullivan wrote an article in todays Union-Tribune titled: "No gas guzzler, Maddux may be Prius of pitchers"

Is the word "Prius" becoming part of the new American lexicon, synonymous with durable, long-lasting, and economical?

"Chronologically, at least, Greg Maddux is 40 years old. His right arm, however, may still be under warranty.

Maddux is pitching proof of Indiana Jones' premise – that, “It's not the years. It's the mileage.†If he has lost some of his fastball to the ravages of time, he has retained the fuel economy of a parked Prius. He is maximum efficiency with minimum exertion."
