Start up sound?

    I just got my prius III yesterday and everytime i start the car, i hear an awkward sound. Does everyone else hear this too? Or is this normal?
    Its like a bzzz sound kind of.

    yes, everytime.. I believe its the inverter electric engine kicking in before the ICE...its

    You could be referring to the brake actuator which is normal. It is like a gurgling robot cat sound to me.
