Just started it but so far its damn good. I highly recomend it to those on the fence about our current administration, media, and govermental systems.

You think you live in a great country? Its not as clean as you might think.

If anyone has read it completely I'd like to hear your thoughts. :)

I read 2-3 books at a time. :) A long with Static I'm reading "The Nature of Design" - David W. Orr and "The Web of Life" - Fritjof Capra both of which are positive in nature. I'm not all hate my friend :)

    Yes, we are.

    Your point?

"Forced to work through violence or the threat of it, they are under
the complete control of their 'employers'. They are treated
as property and sometimes bought and sold."

Hmmm. Almost sounds like the National Guard.

The link is not connected to the book in any way. Just something I pulled up. "Slavery" can be defined in so many ways that many of our institutions could be considered as favoring slavery. IMO we are slaves to a system. We think we are free but in a lot of ways we are not. I crack up everytime I watch the begining of "The Gods Must be Crazy". It rings true to me.

If you can leave, even if you starve to death, you are not a slave. You still have a choice.

There were many slaves who preferred death to continued enslavement, and watering down the definition like this has the unintended effect of minimizing the horrors of slavery as practiced in our past (and in some Muslim countries today).
