Stem cell breakthrough uses no embryos

    It certainly is a promising breakthrough... Before anyone gets their hopes up, though, they should realize this is just the results from the first test. Some things i pulled from it was that the cells "behaved like stem cells in a series of lab tests." While thats good, it does make me wonder if that series was (or even could be) all encompassing - is there something that they missed? possibly. Another biggie is the fact that the new cells have the "potential for developing cancer" due to the technique they used...

    Obviously, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done to prove the cells produced are ones the scientists want. However, it definitely looks promising, and it will be nice to get the moral/ethical debate out of the way and let science take its due course.
