He's basically a fun science guy. Menthos + Diet Coke, goes on The Ellen Show.

I've ordered and received a bunch of fun crowd pleasing toys, that I will use for a walk-a-thon for Cystic Fibrosis on Sunday May 30th in Laval (north of Montreal).

For anyone doing a group meet with kids, a fund raiser, I highly recommend. Inexpensive and lots of fun.

Especially the windbags - instead of regular rubber balloons that end up irritating the Moms when they blow up. See videos.

I got 300 Windbags and a couple of Solarbags.

    Review: Steve Spangler Science

So I used four products from Steve Spangler for our Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser event, last Sunday - May 30th.

PRIUS ANGLE -=> My car was the "Official" help car, for getting in & out of the park. EV mode was used inside the park to great effect.

Videos are in French - but laughs and screams of joy are universal !
We were 120 volunteers and over 800 adults & kids.
    We raised 130,679$.

Toronto did their walk at the Toronto Zoo, and had over 3,300 people show up, raised over 650,000$.

So as a kind of review :

    • Windbags. Rates 5/5
Last long, easy and frustrating, a mental puzzle for some.
For kids aged between 1 and 99. (years)
A must for any outdoor social gathering with kids. 50$ for 100.
      I ordered 3 kits for 300 bags.
    • Solar bags. Rates 3/5
Fragile, needs good sun, and light or no wind. 12$ for one.
Extremely impressive even when on the ground. Eye catcher.
    • Prisms. Rates 4/5
Tiny cardboard disks of 3" with a half inch window (the prism).
Great for young kids. I handed out 90 of them. 10$ for 30.
      Will get more next year.
Well received, especially if you go through a parent first.
    • Screaming balloons. Rates 2/5
      • Smallest bang for the buck - as they pop easy - like any balloon outdoors. I half inflated them and they lasted a while longer.
      • These balloons are transparent - so you can see the rotating nut making the noise.
      • You can use any balloon with a nut for the same effect.
      • Any small nut, 1/8" to 1/4" will do, with any balloon.
A major pain if you want to blow 100+ of them ;)
      • -=> Fun -=> Scaring the ladies - make the humming noise with the balloon creeping up behind a talking woman, see them cringe as they think the world's largest mosquito is sneaking up on them.

So next year, I will get prisms and windbags. I have a spare solar bag, so I'll keep that. The solar bag is BLACK and the Windbags come in BLUE, RED, GREEN, YELLOW.

(I'm in the video - on the far right - with a yellow windbag and blue/white shirt)

This little fella surprised me, he walked all over the park with his windbags. Future train conductor?
