DETROIT (Reuters) - The U.S. sales of General Motors Corp. (GM.N: Quote, Profile , Research) and Ford Motor Co. (F.N: Quote, Profile , Research) fell in December, hurt by declines in demand for trucks, while Japanese rival Toyota Motor Corp. (7203.T: Quote, NEWS , Research) continued to gain ground.
