I bought a set of new 17" Prius Five wheels and will be taking them in tomorrow to have Bridgestone Ecopia EP422's put on thanks to the advice I've gotten on this forum. I ordered new center caps from the dealership today and they will be in tomorrow too, but my questions is will the lug nuts from my 15's work on the 17's? I would have asked the dealer today, but just thought of it!

I wouldn't see why not. Bolt pattern and threads should be the same.

I have the 17''s (Canadian Touring model). Here's a lug nut pic:

As an alternative to the stock 215/45R17 a few people have been using 205/50R17. It's virtually the same diameter as 195/65R15. AFAIK, Ecopia Ep422 is available in the alternate as well as stock 17" size, while Michelin Primacy is only available 215/45R17.

When I purchased my used Prius 5, 17" wheels, they came with lug bolts and the center caps. I'm sure I used the ones that came with the factory 15" wheels.

I assume he will put the proper low profile tires on the 17 inch wheels - then the overall diameter will stay about the same. Hence, no major change in the "speedo".

Yes. The lug nuts are the same. They also work on the Lexus CT200h wheels.

Thank you very much! I am going with the 205/50/17 tires all thanks to the F8L for all the tire info you've so kindly shared here.

My pleasure. I just like to try stuff and hopefully help others make a sound decision.

Remember what I said about the EP422 being a fairly mushy tire compared to say the PureContact or Primacy MXM4. :)
