strange element in prius engine: magnet fuel economizer?

In engine compartiment I discover that:

It is a plastic box with clips, round the rubber tube of fuel that is directly to fuel ramp and inyectors. There is no wire, so no sensor, no actuator.

May be a magnet, fuel economizer? I can`t beleave it if so...

    Bye/Salu2.

Per the repair manual, it is the No. 1 Fuel Pipe Clamp.

I have no idea what its function is, but I think the white plastic unit you've depicted is possibly below the '#1 Fuel Pipe Clamp'.

In California we certainly do have this unidentified device. It is a bit hard to spot under the cowling on the driver side, however.

I think that is the semi hidden monitor that is in all cars nowadays to report to Big Government exactly what we do, where we go and so they can mail us the citations for our anti govt behavior. I heard about this on late night radio. Very scary! Might be related to the contrails in the sky, which are really a gas to render us more compliant.

Good catch! We need to be vigilant at all times.
