My car currently has a cheap Megan Racing brace that mounts in the middle, close to the end of two headlights. And I also see that some JDM brands make the ones that mount on the suspension towers. Do these two styles make any difference in handling? Because strut tower brace should be holding the strut tower, as its name suggests. Therefore I think the ones mounted in the middle do not provide as much as rigidity as the ones that are mounted between the strut towers? I used to have a Volvo XC70 and some of those guys ran a twin-brace setup that would improve the rigidity better. Has anyone tried running a twin strut brace on a Gen 4 Prius? In that case I can just retain the old Megan brace and install a new one that holds the towers.
