    Rider #1: "Is that one of those holidays that moves around, like Mother's Day?"

    Driver: Starts counting to five in Spanish

    Rider #2: "Wow, didn't have your coffee this morning?"

    Rider #3: "It moves around, just like the Fourth of July does"*

    Driver: "Someone needs to wake up... [several people join in to sing] The wheels on the bus go round and round..."

    I think I like van pooling! :)

    I rode a van or bus every work day for 14 years working at a gold mine, most fun is when we would chock another van in the drive through, so they could not move. If you do JUST right all the doors are blocked by menus. Mostly we slept.

    It's a long ride on the van... and with 15 of us, afraid we can't all fit in a Prius - though, if you take the MPG of the van, and divide by 15, well, that makes the drive incredibly fuel-efficient!

    It's more fun, and more relaxing, than I thought it would be.

    I used to ride a county-sponsored van pool. It's the only way to go. It cost each of the 12 riders $50 per month and inlcuded maintenance, insurance and a gas card. One person was designated as driver and s/he got to take the van home at night. Our commute was 50 miles one way. The other reason I liked it so much is that at 5p, I had to leave. No more late meetings or else I'd miss my ride.:D Alas, I retired and that ended my county van pool experience.
