Is there a way for us Prius owners to submit map corrections to Toyota so that they can fix them in a future version of the map software? I know each new version includes fixes and enhancements, but I imagine it would be easy for them to miss an error if it hasn't been pointed out to them, and I've come across one or two in my local DVD Nav System travels.
It may be better to update the source of the Toyota (Denso) GIS data. Geographic data on the current DVD is from Tele Atlas and POI data is from infoUSA. I thought I had found an error, and there are many, but on the GDT web site (Tele Atlas bought GDT) I found their data was correct, but my DVD didn't have their current data.[/font:2521a69d0e]
Actually, Navteq supplies the road data to Toyota. Toyota has no process in place by which you can report errata but Navteq does. Here is their email to me with the proper procedure. You do need the number of the disc you are using to report and you can only enter one erratum at a time. Serge, We provide the map data that is used to make Toyota discs but we do not produce or distribute the actual map discs or the system itself. Please contact Toyota at 1-800-GOTOYOTA to inquire about map updates and their system. You are welcomed to send us your map update requests utilizing our Driver Feedback website at http://update.navteq.com We will then investigate your request, and make any necessary changes in the subsequent database release. If you could take a moment to complete a brief survey regarding the quality of service you received, it would be much appreciated.
