Ran into a guy with a Prius who hadn't heard of any of the mod's listed here. I tried to summarize the main ones I could think of. Perhaps the list is useful to others. Feel free to chime in with more specific links or add things I left off. Note that these range from easy, safe modifications through difficult projects which could affect your warranty.

Whoops - looks like I was pointing to some of the links that are now gone. I've edited it so hopefully all the links are active. If some of the threads get restored, I'll edit again.

Indeed, we lost a ton of great user information, :( along with the opening page article about installation of the powered bass, a step by step article with needed parts list.

Brosman, thanks for the list. I have one concern though. People contemplating the modifications should be made aware that Toyota considers electronic modifications a violation of their warranty. Perhaps I'm making something of nothing, but I would just hate to see someone unintentionally violate their warranty and then need that coverage somewhere down the road.

Some things, such as turning off the back-up beep or options adjustable by a technician, are perfectly fine. But when you start pulling wire and whatnot, you're on your own.

Good point. Long term readers likely already know some of these projects involve risk of damage or warranty problems. Hopefully the individual links clarify the scope of each mod, but I've edited the introduction to the list so new members aren't surprised.
