I have tried with the car on and off and they don't seem to move. I looked in my manual and there is no *if equipped notation so I guess I'm supposed to have them.

Anyone else feel like their mirror is more likely to break off than fold?

Carefully! Just push on the painted side toward the back of the car. If it doesn't fold, you are doing something wrong. Stop before you do something really wrong.

Unless you have a Euro or Japanese version, you do not have automatic or electronic folding mirrors. Therefore you just push them manually.

I folded my left mirror back by passing too close to another car at about 5mph ;)

It still works fine and there is not even a scratch on it!

Yeah, I pushed on them manually and it didn't seem like they would move so I stopped. I'm going to make the dealer do it so that if anything breaks it's on them.

You're not just trying to sabotage me after our exchange are you? ;)

The mirrors fold forward and back. Just push on the painted portion of the mirror.

We are not misleading you. If we wanted to screw with you we'd have said, Obtain a ten pound sledge hammer, aim carefully at the painted side of the mirror, and swing as hard as you can. That, being, the normal method of folding the mirrors if one owns a GM vehicle.;)

It is not a standard option, it is extra.

Are you thinking the auto-folding mirrors? I'm not sure power folding is an option (it's usually a standard feature)

Note that if you pull up slightly on the mirror it will fold in much easier.

As Tideland said, I don't think power folding mirrors were ever an option on a Prius. They power adjust but don't fold.

Mine seem to have a different sort of "power" option. But I'm afraid to use my power.

Methinks there is a difference between:

    'Dual Folding Power Mirrors'
    and
    'Dual Power Folding Mirrors'

However minor, there is a difference between these two terms.

The mirrors are 'powered' and they do fold, but just not as you may have expected.

I'm pretty sure they do on Japanese models ;). But not on US/CAN models :(

See that video of a Japanese Lexus

That's a Lexus, not a Prius. We are talking of Prius, not Lexus. Prius mirrors do not "power fold". They "power adjust".

There are no power mirror as standard nor an option here in Europe!!!!
I wish they had beacause I would have bought it by now!!!!
