    Between 2014 and 2017, green car adoption has been increasing in some states you wouldn't expect, if the tables below are accurate.

    Of course, California leads the list, but there are some big surprises.

    I think Virginia is a falling star...we invented free HOV for hybrids around 2001 and had a lot of Prii...but we are phasing into HOT/Toll lanes...but whoever bought the old hybrids is still grandfathered as long as they keep buying green cars and keep the old plates, up until the HOT lanes are completed
