SUVs Illegal on many California Streets!

    Veeery interesting - Large SUVs over 6,000 pounds are illegal on most residential streets in California - but nobody is enforcing the law...

    We know they will never ban the big SUVs from the posted streets. There are too many of them and the politicians aren't going to send them all to the scrap heap. I agree that they should make them ineligable for the tax writeoff. Additionally, they should be charged monthly based on the amount they are overweight. In the end, all the streets will instead be reposted for 12,000 pounds.
