probably no symptoms, unless it completely blocked circulation. then you should get over heating and a blown engine
Most spin-on filters has a bypass valve, so if it plugs up or collapses - your oil won't get filtered.
None as far as I know, changed oem media filters at Prius meet ups and I came away with 2 different Prius with collapses filter. Both owners said no issue with car when I asked and showed them the collapsed filters.
It will either have the words China stamped on the side or will be an imposter from Amazon that says Toyota but is actually from China lol
If you purchase the filter from Toyota, you likely won't have to worry about it. If you get them from ebay or amazon, very likely they are the cheap chinese copies....
