Recently there were a few postings about the large clear/bright tailight assembly, especially how it sharply contrasts with darker color cars. I happened upon this tint-film product. Does anyone out there have any experience with this?

The taillamp tint just melts into the paint job. The taillamps glow a bright red when activated to maintain safety. All that black trim on most cars makes the taillamps match better then the factory amber and orange taillamp colors. Unique tint designed for taillight use with UV protection and the ability to dissipate heat so it will not melt or discolor with time. If the correct tint is not used it an become a costly nightmare, this auction is for the correct tint. Save over $100 compared to stereo shop taillamp tint job. Auction includes everything you need with step-by-step photo directions to do the installation yourself in under an hour except regular hair dryer, razor and water spray bottle. Razor is only used to cut off extra tint. Auction includes 24" by 12" section of tint, enough for most applications. If your vehicle requires more just let us know.

XPEL and LLamin-X are great products for headlight, blinker, fogs and rear taillights. Offered in colors as well as clear protection with a thickness range from 17mil to 30mil. If jsut pitting and sand abrasion is what you are after than the 3M PPF works great. I wil tell you the XPEL materials have high optical clarity with a scratch resist coating - more difficult for the do it your selfer to install..
We offer these in pattern cuts or bulk.

Funny how just a few years ago the clear LED's were the rage and now we're wanting to tint them. However I can see doing that with the darker color cars. You do lose that "distinctive" look the Prius has from the rear though.
