What are you going to have to do to get your new Plug-in Prius home?

Edit: Added poll at OP's request

Before I get to that point, I'll be trying to sell a vehicle.
Showing up with a trade-in is going to put the buyer at a serious disadvantage.
Let's see, special ordered a limited supply car, waited 3-4 months to get it, traveled hundreds of miles to pick it up.....
How much incentive does that dealer have to offer me a good trade-in price. He's got'cha over the barrel.

Last couple times I tried to trade, they weren't even coming back with offers that were near the published trade-in value from any source. They give excuses like, "I can buy that car at auction all day for less than that, why would I buy it from you for more....blah, blah....
Think what this will be like.

Other than that, getting it home will entail a long drive.

At some point will have to sell my 2006 Prius; it has a small chip in the windshiled that SafeLite resin couldn't fix, and i hope i don't have to replace it.

I'm planning on flying to Norfolk and spending a day or two with some old Navy buddies in VA Beach, then picking up the new PiP in Chesapeake and driving back home to GA in one day, and maybe a gallon or 2 over 1 tank of fuel.

I used to do the Norfolk to ATL run in the 70's in about 11 hours in a VW bus (had the 2000cc Porsche engine)

There are some apps out there that map Level 2 charging stations available, and may have to download some for the trip; othewise may have to carry an ext cord and plug in at cracker barrel for lunch.

oh, yeah, and come up with a suitable playlist

I'm sorry, but I had not accounted for your suggested travel option. Kindly select option #3 in the pole.

I can see my dealership from my bedroom window, so my "ordeal" will be minimal.
I will have to get lost to take it for a break in test drive!!!!
I can make it to the beach and home on a single charge from the dealership, traffic willing. Not trying to rub it in but I factored the location into my choice of preferred dealership and didn't pick Dianne 100 miles away. I got lucky that they knew what they were doing and gave me $750 under MSRP.

You really did well with your purchase!

For me, Dianne has already earned the extra $250 (difference between my MSRP-$500 and your MSRP-$750). Trusting her experience to help get my car from California to Minnesota (without having to take a week to drive it home) is the added bonus.
