I was at the gas station the other day, and a guy driving a Subaru says to me "I thought those "things" don't take gas." I told him "Yes, they do, but only once a month." He laughed and asked me how I liked my Prius. Anybody had a similar experience??? :D

I took mine through the car wash one day and the guy who was drying it put his ear down on the hood to see if it was running, it wasn't.

I have had several people ask me if the Prius was an electric car that gets plugged in at night. They seemed baffled when I showed them the gas engine.

No weird reactions to the Prius so far, but back when I drove my Echo, several times people asked me how I liked my hybrid. I had to explain that it wasn't one, it only looked like one.
