I'd like to test my Prius 2010 with Techstream SW using some low-priced interface cable. I do not need the re-flash capability, so Mongoose MFC Interface is quite expensive. What others are using?

Mongoose MFC is the least expensive option that has been reported on the board here.

I haven't seen it specifically mentioned, but would one of Techstream Lite's "reprogramming" capabilities be the TPMS (ie, inputting new TPM serial numbers)?

    Bonjour
We don't have TPMS in europe, but I confirm that tactrix openport 2.0 works perfectly for most of the functions (for instance reprograming reverse buzzer).
ordered the 23. received & tested now...:)

    Many thanks to R7

Frenchie - very nice - I believe that is an open source project (yes?)... Has any of your Euro neighbors tried it with Toyota's Techstreem 4.2?

Have my Tactrix on the Christmas list...

    Per Frenchie on Techstream:

I use with success rel V4.12.001 on eeePC with XP sp2 or on big laptop with vista.

I tried also a rel V4.2xxx, working really badly and only on AMD platforms....

The only option I could not use is "drive recorder" which would be very interesting

Dealer just told me they could neither turn off the back-up beeps or the passenger seat belt beep due to safety concerns and liability issues. This is the downside of living in a single-dealer town.

Has anybody else, in addition to frenchie, confirmed that the Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 cable will work with TIS to at least disable both of warning beeps? For the cost, it seems like an incredible deal (PassThru support and all).

I'm thinking that if someone else confirms it, I'll pick one up and help out anybody locally wanting to disable them.

If nobody else confirms, I may just buy it anyways and post findings.

    Thanks!

I have it on order - but it's on the Christmas list, so I won't be able to play with it until after the holidays... Frenchie reports it does program the reverse beeps etc.

Techstream can be found in the internet world - Google is your friend...

The cable I bought for $200 is the Tactrix - not Mongoose.

Can someone confirm the Mongoose/Techstream lite scantool system will connect and show trouble codes in between the times your TIS subscription is active? Thanks in advance!

Bump. Has anyone else had more experience with the Tactrix cable?
