teflon coating?

    i want some kind of protection against paint chips. my dealer is offering three choices. 3M film, typical bra or teflon coating. He is actually recommending the teflon anybody have experience with this? price is around $600 for exterior/interior. i hate paint chips! thanks for advice.

    Teflon is all marketing BS. For teflon to adhere and bond properly, it must be applied at a much higher temperature than be realistically performed by hand/machine. What the dealer uses is a teflon based was/sealant thats more than likely hand applied by a porter on the lot.

    The clear bra however is worth it if paint chips bother you that much. Unlike the black bra, its a much cleaner look that actually is a physical barrier between your paint and debris. Go for it.
