Terk XM-Direct instead of waiting for Toyota?

    It appears that the Terk adaptor cable for satallite ready Toyota/Lexus models is now available in stores. It looks like it works with an XM direct box to provide complete functionality at a lower cost, and without waiting for the "official" solution to be released from Toyota. I would even venture a guess that this may well be the Toyota solution without the private label...

    Does anyone know more about this? Does it work? Will it not have the limitations of the previous after-market versions from other vendors?

    To use the Terk XMDirect you will also need the XM Direct Toyota/Lexus Smart Digital Adapter that isn't available until Mid 2006.
    VAIS Tech has right now an adapter for the XM Direct. Here are pictures in my Prius:
