    Martin Eberhard:
"I walked away from that meeting deeply impressed by Bob Lutz and willing to believe that the Volt might be a real program," he said. "Over the past year, I have come to meet several more people on the Volt program. Hold onto your seats, people: I believe that the Volt program is real, with top GM talent moved onto the program, major bucks behind the program, and support all the way to the top within GM. I think GM is placing a huge bet with this program."

PNGV was real too but it doesn't mean anything will come out of it.

    Marlin,
I do believe that GM is whole-heartedly developing Volt.
Whichever company sells a 30-mile range plug-in first on the market will very likely
get my business to replace my current Prius. Be it Toyota or GM. ;)

I hope he's right. I'd love to be wrong on this one and see the Volt hit the streets. As I've said elsewhere, if it's the first one out and does what they claim I'll buy it. First to market with a PHEV gets my money.
