Source: Tesla to report earnings Wednesday - MarketWatch

Tesla Inc. said late Monday evening that it expects to report third-quarter earnings after the closing bell Wednesday. . . .
The rope has gotten a lot shorter.

    Much shorter notice than normal.
I’m still guessing close to break even, but still a loss. With guidance for a solid profit in the fourth quarter.

I’m expecting an operating profit. But then I read the Q2 report.

So in other words, Tesla shorts and critics will have to find something new to complain about.

Well that didn't take long ;)
Shorts are creative, they will always find something and ignore the fact they were wrong about their previous positions.

Yeah I'm surprised to see Honda so far down. Or maybe not, judging from recent family members vehicles.

More 'fake news' from Fake news.....
I'm not surprised by shaky reliability in a disruptive, secretive, fangs-out company, but what I AM somewhat surprised is that Tesla isn't getting more top cover from our "fair and balanced" media......

    THAT is interesting.....
    Management not playing well?
    Adverts?
    ?????
Tesla sinks in Consumer Reports reliability rankings - CNN
Tesla reliability falls in Consumer Reports survey
Tesla slips in Consumer Reports auto reliability study
AutoNews Now: Why the D3, Tesla fell short in reliability study

To be sure......TSLA is now profitable.
Current news about reliability should serve as a wake-up call for folks in their head-shed - to KEEP them that way....rather than a call-to-arms.

They've also never been profitable quarter over quarter.....and Q4 cometh.
    (tick....tick....tick....tick....)

I wish they'd reboot the 'short' bandwagon in Q1 of 2019. Then I can afford more TSLA.

I don’t think the shorts are going away. You will probably have another opportunity in January.
After the 4Q report in early January, as long as we get a report equal or better than guidance, the shorts will be in retreat.
