    • Teslas do not burn Russian oil
    • SpaceX has made Russian rockets a joke
    • Grid batteries make wind and solar more reliable and cheaper than Russian natural gas and coal
    • Twitter/X is not a Russian propaganda channel
    • Musk earned 100s of billions of dollars making products people want
    • Musk is taller than Putin

    What evidence has been exposed that ties the damage to the transmission tower to Russia? Isn't a left wing environmental group Volcano claiming credit? And occupying the expansion space with tree houses? Latest I read said terrorist involvement suspected but cited no evidence. Or is that a way of labeling Volcano as terrorist?

    Northern spotted owl populations continue to decline but not crash. They have a competitor, the barred owl, who have been hunted to ease those pressures for about 8 years. kinda icky, but with very limited remaining old-growth forests, that decision was made.

    Although I don't want to rule out Putin, the one(s) claiming responsibility released a Ted Kaczynski manifesto:
    My summary:

    This reminds me of our own "Unabomber", Ted Kaczynski. There is a spectrum of Elon haters ranging from "personality conflicts" to 'Karens' to extreme physical threats. In ordinary life, we can distance ourselves but I was once "followed" by a similar lost soul.

    Putin remains on my suspect list (for cause) but I would not be surprised if this person ends up in a mental installation. Regardless, this reminds me of a favorite joke:

    According to legend an automobile driver noticed that a tire was going flat, and pulled over to the side of a lonely road adjacent to a tall metal fence. While replacing the tire with a spare the apprehensive driver removed the four lug nuts and accidentally dropped them down a sewer grate.

    A figure behind the metal fence saw the dispirited driver and presented a clever solution to the awful predicament. Each tire could be attached with three lug nuts, and the car could be driven to a service station for further assistance. The helpful person was a resident of a mental asylum, and the anecdote ended with this didactic exchange: “How is it that you could give such sound advice?” “I may be nuts but I’m not stupid.”    ​
