    That's because in WV most cars are in the front yard up on blocks. Hard to break the rules from there. (Just kidding). I went to school in WV and my wife was born and raised there.

    I don't know if I am more worried about the dumb drivers or the ones who know the laws and still break them.

    This is for insurance purposes; it has nothing to do with how good the drivers are. If you notice, most of the states with good rankings are states with less people per square mile. If you have ever spent much time driving in DC you would realize, were you not a very good driver, you couldn’t get three blocks without an accident. ;)

    I've had licenses in both Vermont (original) and California..... The roads and driving needs are very different in those 2 states!

    The two states where I have lived most of my life, New Jersey and Rhode Island, are the first and second most populated states in the US (Mass is third.) I think that there are a lot of bad drivers in both of those states, but that probably applies to all of them. :huh:

    of course I can't help but wonder why they give driving tests in language OTHER THAN ENGLISH when the signs are ONLY in english.
    Plus here in Trenton we have the other issue of the PA fakers.....

    When I lived in NJ (South Jersey, outside of Philadelphia), everyone would complain about the "lousy Philly drivers." I've noticed in RI that when I see a car with NJ plates, the driver is often incompetent. Perhaps people drive worse outside of their home states. Or maybe NJ has been exiling their worst drivers :lol:

    Actually I think this has nothing to do with good or bad drivers, just dumb ones. It is referring to currently licensed drivers who take the written driving test and perform badly.

    The folks in RI can walk across their state in like 20 minutes anyway...they don't need to drive. ;)
