    Hey!
    I got my own forum!
    :D

From last year ... fall of '06 ... awd version. Mid fifty days ... and high 30's at night.

Here's one when we'd driven it back from Montana:

Nice first post in this Lexus hybrid sub-forum. I saw RX450h on the road last weekend. Very nice!

Yea! I know ... those folks at Aptera are killing me with the wait. I'm praying they won't post another delay next month.

Yea, I whined a couple times years ago for the forum ... so I darn well better use it. As for the new 450h ... it's sure a lot 'rounder' than our older body style. What's REALLY excellent to me is that Lexus finally went Atkinson with the V6. Another killer feature on the RX has the new MFD, using OLED technology. VERY high contrast. What's NOT excellent is how long they took to finally add SKS. Sheesh! What's up with that?!? The lowly Prius running around for a half dozen years w/ sks, and the high dollar ride is using 75 year old mechanical key technology? How embarrassing.

Lastly, the peculiar difference I note between Prius & Lexus hybrids is that the lion's share of Lexus hybrid owners I talk to don't give a rip amout MPG's. That's simply incidental to power, ride, comfort, handling, and techno goodies. Oh well.

Did the RX450h finally get push button start? or is it still turn "key".

I also would like to have an open and honest discussion on the new HS and whomever bought it.

I still do not know why the Prius is the only one with leaf cars. Every other hybrid gets some ugly diamond or "E" to represent recaptured energy via regenerative braking.

The 1st Lexus thread - in the newly christened Lexus subforum.
Remember back when there WERE no other Lexus Hybrids?
I had to bug the moderators to start this section, and it took a couple years of whining to get here
    ;)
    Our (now) 10year old 2006 RX-400h ...

    Lexus1VIN.jpg

Early Build - march of '05 ... had just come off an early lease return back in PA. The world's first 'luxury' hybrid suv/crossover ... Anyway - it just got it's FIRST smog check - because for years, they couldn't figure how to do a smog check. Passed with flying colors. 10 years ... the hybrid battery warranty is now expired under CARB rules, as of march. With it's fully electric replacement on the horizon - that'll be the last smog check we ever have to do.
