The NRA Makes A Reasonable Plea

Think I'm Kidding?

I've read a lot of bilge here in Fred's that fully supports denial of habeus corpus, extraordinary rendition, domestic spying and all the other fascist provisions and activities conducted by the Cheney-Rove cabal in the belief that such abridgement of rights is a legitimate (and necessary) sacrifice to achieve national security. I would thus assume this latest attempt to further abridge citizens rights to acquire and possess firearms would be equally welcomed by those who support such wholesale curtailment of rights in the name of public safety, and the NRA's stance here decried, but I could be wrong. Something about guns just shoots reason right through the heart.
