I like my orange juice fresh-squeezed, with the amount of pulp that normally comes through when you squeeze oranges.

It all depends on the device you you and your squeezing technique. ;)

I tend to tend to work it so there is plenty of juice and the extra pulp is just fun to ply across my tongue.

My grandmother used to make puply organge juice but then my mom hated it and always strained the orange bits out. I'd take the glass she offered me and look at her like this

No pulp is how we roll. Riggity-roll!

We were getting the Tropicana stuff, but then found it more cost effective to go with the concentrate stuff.

In Mexico they have these juice stands at the mercados. At the most popular stands they are squeezing constantly, so it's all very fresh. My favorite was carrot juice, but if my energy was depleted toward the end of a two- or three-hour walk, then I prefered orange juice for the sugar. They also sell horrid concoctions of juice of greens and papaya with your choice of "nutritional" supplements. But the basic fruit juices were beyond compare.

Their o.j. had just the right amount of pulp.

Fresh squeezed is best. If buying commercial, pulp-free. Of course, fresh squeezed with the pulp strained out is the Beverage of the Gods.

Daniel - a month ago you were laughing at me fondly remembering my freshly-squeezed juices I had had on a recent trip to Mexico. Now YOU are the one waxing poetical about them - what's up?

I don't remember laughing at you over Mexican juice! Might have been a misunderstanding.

I know I don't get enough Omega-3s, so I've been buying the kind (Tropicana maybe?) that has Omega-3s in it. Unfortunately, my daughter read me the ingredients, which included Tilapia and sardines.

Having trouble gagging it down now.

    We drink Simply Orange too.
I've always hated pulp, though I can tolerate a little.
Growing up we had pulp and I had my own strainer that fit the cup I used.
I REALLY enjoy a mixture of fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit mixed (then strained).

However it comes out of the juicer from my parents orange tree. Pulp schmulp. Who cares? Sweetest oranges in the world.

I have never had this pleasure, but if homegrown oranges are as good as homegrown tomatoes, you have tasted heaven!

As far as the mass-produced juice is concerned, I agree with you; Simply Orange is the way to go. However, your pulp preference is clearly wrong :p

Actually, I really like "Simply"'s Limeade; surprisingly good (again, for a mass-produced product).

The only way I drink OJ with pulp is if it was squeezed this am and I am having breakfast on Sanibel Island! :D

I buy the extra pulp or lots of pulp, not from concentrate stuff.
My wife hates pulp so this way I get to have some of what I buy. ;)
