Sorry. I just had to say it. As of this morning, the Prius is my gas guzzler. "Escuincle" the Xebra SD took me 23 miles today without using any gas at all. That's because there's no gas in it and no place to put any gas in it.

It's too early for me to have figures, but based on what others Xebra owners have said, Escuincle will go about 50 miles on a dollar's worth of electrons.

Literally, in Spanish, it's another word for a coyote or dog, but it's also used (in context) as a slang term for a kid or adolecent. So maybe it's his new young pooch?

It sounds like a growth you'd go to the podiatrist to have removed.

I think it also used to refer specifically to the Mexican hairless dog. Make sense, as I assume daniel's car does not have hair.

And yes, daniel. You'd better start posting pictures or there's going to be an online rebellion.

Escuincle is a Mexican word meaning kid or brat. It can be either derrogatory or endearing, depending on how it's used. It comes from the Nahua word itzcuintli, meaning a hairless dog, but I never heard it used that way. Sean called the car Squeek because there was a squeek in it (which he fixed) but I hated that name, so I picked a sound-alike. But after the battery and controller upgrades he started calling it the Mutant Ninja Turtle because it's the most powerful Xebra SD on the planet.

It's a one-of-a-kind car: Sean said that installing the extra big batteries in an SD was too much work and he'll never do another. The PK is easy to install lots of batteries in.

Pictures are here. I will use that thread to post any additional pictures. Tiffany took some that she'll email me when they get back home.

Do they make a "shell" for the back of the "pick-up" version?

I'm not aware of a shell for the PK.

I've posted some more pictures. Same thread as above. here.

Bet if fails Georgia emissions test. :D Fantastic. If we, as a nation, were serious about the environment this looks like the only car that would be allowed in the big cities.

Yep. We want pictures. I've seen a photo of Allan's pickup but none of the sedan.

There's a solar roof that offers a trickle charge for the truck version.

There's dealer in So. Cal. In Escondido.

Are you going to install a solar panel like the Xebra Xero?

To avoid posting the same pictures in multiple threads, I've posted all my pictures in the Other Cars forum, in the Zap Xebra thread. I posted links above. I have two different posts there with pics. First Allan's, and then mine, after I found my camera (which I probably have not used in 3 years). Tiffany promised to email the ones she took, and when she does I'll post them to that same thread.

I'm not going to put PVs on my car. It is a dreadfully inefficient use of PVs, and it supplies hardly any power for the car.
