If the mods or Danny wants me to take this down I will. I will also take it down if the publisher requests it. I have a feeling this wont ever happen.

Also if any of you mods think this belongs in another forum please move it.

    Happy reading. :D

It is free. I ordered hard copy from Toyota when it was available for free, just paid for shipping.

Free doesn't mean it isn't copyrighted.

Unfortunately you're right. I did download to my hard drive and did a search for "copy". There is the usual comment included about not being able to copy without permission of "Hideshi Itazaki and THE NIKKAN KOGYO SHIMBUN, LTD". Perhaps I just violated copyright by copying that, although I did quote it. OTOH, perhaps the author would be willing to grant such permission to PC, assuming number of downloads is recorded.

Especially since no monitor profit is being made anyway. The author and company could consider knowledge of citations as sufficient profit.

Well, I'd ask. They gave away the copies for free. It could be they want it out there but can't justify the expense of printing more hard copies or creating an e-book for download. They may not know how much in demand it is. If their copyright it clearly part of it, you may convince them to allow you to provide it for free as a service that benefits those that want it and costs them nothing. It's worth a shot.

In the meantime, those interested may want to "review" it while they have the chance. (I have a hard copy and I've enjoyed reading it. No, not interested in selling it.)

Wow thanks. I never knew this book existed. I'll add it to my queue behind Jim Cramer's books and The Hype about Hydrogen.

The Friends of the Fairfax Library are having a booksale in April. Prius that shook the world is listed as one of the titles.

You might be able to negotiate a pre-sale with them if your offer was juicy.
