I'm looking to replace my head unit in my 2017 Prius Two (Non-JBL sound system). The goal of this is to increase clarity of overall sound system (most likely will upgrade speakers in the near future as well), and to gain some functionality in CarPlay/Android Auto, EQ settings, and things like monitoring tire pressure, coolant temp, etc. I'm thinking of installing it myself with instructions provided from Crutchfield. I've arrived at the Kenwood Excelon DMX709S (Might go with 809S for Wireless CarPlay).
Does anyone know of anything that I should know about before going ahead and purchasing and installing? Can anyone attest to the DMX709/809S long-term performance? Any issues or things to look out for with these specific models?

Any help is much appreciated :)
