I found a (gently!) used 2002 Prius for $6488. I test drove it and it was blast to drive. The big problem is she's got 106000 miles on her. No warranty, sold as-is from a Toyota Dealer.
Would this be a huge mistake or an amazing deal?
    Any opinions?

Sounds good, a cheap entry into a hybrid world.
Of course I paid $25,000 for my 2004 in 2007, I wouldn't listen to me.
Prices are a tad higher in Australia.

Out buddy Jesse bought his with 86000 miles on it. Folks said he was nuts. He ended up with 350,000 on the odometer when it was totalled in an accident. YMMV.
