How you guys getting those scores...are you married to a Canadian or have a job arranged? I scored the highest for my education, spouse education, etc. Only thing major I can think of that could have improve is if I spoke French.

By the way, when you cross the border, just press the mile/kilometre button and you're all set for metric. (Toyota thinks of everything)

Don't forget - it's colour, neighbourhood, centre, running shoes (not sneakers)

The worse thing is those damn dollar coins (loonies). Every time you buy something, you wind up with 2 pounds of coins in your pocket. Paper money was a great invention (almost as good as debit cards)

That's right. They must all have jobs arranged in Canada, and they're not telling us in case we get jealous.

Fortunately, I had years of French in school. My speaking/understanding is only passable (I can order in a restaurant), but I can read and write pretty well.
    Bonne journée!

63, due partly to zero points for age. I'll settle for Honorary.

You see, it's all screwed up. You should get more points the older you are. Think of the wisdom! Think of the experience! Think of the potential PBS donors! [Yes, most Canadians get PBS]

I'd get a place in New Zealand(Christchurch) in a heartbeat if it weren't like 27 light years away. Have you been to Milford Sound?

I clicked on this thread just because of the proper use of the word "Emigrating."

    And I got a 74.
I feel that I lost possible points because I do not currently have a job offer in Canada but since I work for an international corporation I'm sure I could find one. Perhaps Prius Taxi is hiring.

I scored 67. No proficiency in French, no arranged job (myself and my wife), etc..
Not the first time I squeaked by with a passing grade...

    102.000

I was surprised it was so high; I have no knowledge of French and no arranged employment in Canada.

I was also surprised that they carried the score out three decimal places. Further, I was not aware that Canada has the same national symbol as a popular browser. But, it's true......I saw it in the lower right-hand corner. I assume the "s" after 102.000 stands for "score".....

Is there a test for those wishing to retire (not work) in Canada? Seems to me there is for New Zealand. The offset is usually a skill set (medical always works) or fat savings account.
