I said in the original EMF thread, I don't think most of the posters there were being rude, and I don't think the couple of snide "here we go again" replies were trying to insult you personally.

At any rate, I think the Prius is a fun car because of all the technology packed into it (and not just the hybrid system).

It's one of the more reliable cars out there, and it's untrue that it gets worse MPG than an average diesel. In fact, name a diesel of comparable size with as good mileage!

Anyway, you're still welcome here if you have more questions.

The first sentence seems to indicate you did not read bolder bum's post carefully: "The Å koda Fabia is a supermini produced by Czech manufacturer Å koda Auto since 1999."
The Prius is a midsized car even by US standards, not supermini at all.

Perhaps it is this lack of careful reading that is fueling your EMF concerns.

 

You knew that no one Stateside would have expert knowledge of a Eastern European car when you used it as your example, I toured the UK Skoda website, they relentlessly refused to show any textual or pictorial information about the back seats.

Considering you got 6+ replys that told you there are far more dangerous things that have an EMF problem than a Prius, your refusal to actually read the links provided, and the belief in your head that the Prius is a rolling microwave oven, makes me wonder if you really actually give a damn! You seem to want to promote a idea that has been pretty much been driven into the ground!
EMF is NOT an issue with the Prius.
If you feel your in danger, sell the car, ride a goat, do whatever makes you feel safe. If you think the world is going to share your unfounded concerns over the Prius EMF issue, and you seem to throw a snit when we do not agree with ya....well that throws you into the following catagory...

As for EMF: after more than 40 years of looking there is no clear evidence that it has any health effects at field strengths that can be found outside of a laboratory. Early studies suggesting links to power lines and workplaces failed to control for chemical exposures common in those environments. If you can find any such evidence please let us know, but it's highly likely that it would be all over the media anyway. In contrast, exposure to Diesel particulate exhaust has very clear and significant health risks.
