THIS A POST ON ANOTHER FORUM
"While I'm sure the Sonata and Fusion Hybrid's are decent vehicles, the one thing the Camry Hybrid (and all Toyota Hybrid's for that matter) has is a proven track record of durability.
I've heard the Toronto Fire Service uses Highlander Hybrids and its saved them thousands vs. the Crown Vic's they used before, and in Vancouver, Winnipeg, and other cities you'll see Prius and Camry Hybrids replacing other vehicles as cabs. I currently own three cabs (two Prius (an '07 & a '10) & a Camry Hybrid ('07). My first Prius (an '04) went 1.3 million km's on its original engine, transmission AND battery before being rear-ended and replaced by the 2010. The 2007 Prius has almost 700,000 km and the Camry Hybrid almost 785,000 km I've never needed to replace the main battery in any of my Hybrids nor do I know any other cab owners who have. All my cabs have multiple drivers and run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All my Toyota's have been fantastic vehicles needing little in terms of repair so they stay on the road - which makes me money"

There already have been cabby's on PC that write of their success with hybrids. Both in the EU as well as N. America. Who knows ... that read may be from a PC member!

Now we finally have some hard numbers (1.3 million km). Up til reading this, the most I've heard was 500,000km.

I was just fulfilling Blizzard10's request lol. I just read that article yesterday and when I saw "Vancouver", I figured yeah.. it's probably one of those yellow cabs that Andrew Grant used to be a part of.

With all the miles the hybrid Escape racked up as a New York taxi, i think the same cane said about Ford.
