Wow! You seem to have gotten a really nice, no-wrinkles fit!

    – Did you remove the original coverings?

    – Is that the dark, grey charcoal interior?

    – More pictures possible?

I will take pictures with a real camera this weekend. My car is normally pretty messy, so hard to find time to take it. I wanted to show you guys some pictures after I rented a 2010 Prius without the leather (what i had). It was ugly!

The only thing that needs to be removed are the rear seats, that took maybe 15 minutes to figure out. I didn't remove anything. Matter of fact, I added heated seats onto my car as I was doing the install. The Clazzio cover I got was black, my original color was grey.

The stock interior looks like this

Hi. Can you give some details about how you did the heated seats? Specifically, the wiring and switches? I'm interested to add heated seats, and am probably ok with the mechanical tasks, but have not figured how to do the wiring.
    Thanks,
    Eric

I did it the ghetto way. I bought a set of heated seat elements from ebay, about $70. It comes with a 12v connector with an inline on/off switch. I just use that. You just lay the element flat under the Clazzio seat cover, it shouldn't shift once you put it on since they are so tight. I can probably splice it from the airbag connectors under the car or find something under the dash.

i did mine myself in a 5 hours for free. i did my neightbors car in 4 hours and charged him $100. its definitrly a job you can do yourself, you just need strong wrist to strech the leather and you need some basic tools.

I'm ok with the cloth - I just want heat. But that's probably just as much work to get the seats out and install. I found a local installer in middletown, at $600 for both seats.

I can't tell from your original post: are these the Clazzio covers with leather inserts and PVC outside panels like the ones sold by Sparks Toyota (I would have included a link here but apparently I need to make 3 more posts before I'll be allowed to do that) and others here in the US, or is this an all leather version sold only in Japan? If it's all leather, how much was it, including shipping to the US?

I tried looking on the Yahoo Japan Auction site, but, surprisingly, it's all in Japanese, which I only read at an illiterate level. Do you read Japanese, did you use an online translator, or is there some section of the site in English. Any chance you could post any links you found useful?

    Thanks.

Cute doggy, btw. You realize it's his/her car and you are merely the chauffeur, right?

We bought the Prius and the leather seats strictly for them. The big one likes to lie on the leather, the little one likes to sit on the center console like the sphinx. Prius is a great car for dog owners, or dogs who own human.

I don't think it is real leather down the center, but they feel great nonetheless. You can find them on ebay, search under Prius and Clazzio.

My ever-present concern with seat covers is the side air bags. Since they fire through the sides of the seatbacks, I am very concerned with how a non-OEM cover will affect their operation.

looks good. I regretgetting the fabric seats. They are stained with milkshake and some mud.
