So I just passed my one year anniversary with my 2010 Prius II. I have accumulated just under 27,000 miles in one year. After a few road trips and many miles of commuting, I am very happy with the car.

I have averaged around 50MPG through winter and warmer months, which is as advertised. The car does everything I need it to, and has been rock solid reliable with the exception of the awful underbody panel that broke off.

My only complaints are the the seats for long trips, and the dash rattle on cold mornings. I still do not believe there is any car on the market I would rather own for the price. It holds a ton, gets ridiculous mileage, and I love its non-traditional appearance. It has changed the way I drive, and I still look forward to getting into it every morning.

I really thought I would miss my old MKV GTI, but I really don't.

The Prius does everything well, and I hope to drive many more miles with it.

Wow, couldn't write it better... My one year anniversary is coming up this month.
I drive about 20K less miles than you.

I traded my MKV GTI as well. I really don't miss it either.

Great Report. I have owned mine a bit longer, and now have 35k miles.

I just installed Michlien Energy Saver A/T tires ... they are terrific. Wisper quiet, and they just do not seem to have any rolling resistence.

Regarding the (beneath) body panels. I was on a trip and one came loose. By the time I got stopped, it was destroyed. I took it to a Toyota dealer along the way, and they wired it up for no charge. When I returned home, I took it in and said the panels were a design fault. They replaced them all under warranty. I have had no issues since.

Careful what you wish for! Now awaiting my third Prius upgrade, I have already driven over 217,000 miles. You never get tried of it. Everytime the price of gas goes up or even when encountering heavy traffic, you feel the reward of that purchase decision.

I think it is great you have owned all three generations. I would love to drive a Gen I sometime. I drove a Gen II as a rental in 07 and didn't like a few things about it. But the Gen III I was sold within minutes of driving it.

Good to hear. I'm loving mine after 10k miles.

Only car I'd see replacing it with is the upcoming V for the increased space.

I would definately put this above an econobox considering some of the other cars I have owned. However in terms of current cars, it might fall into that category! It sure isn't a penalty box though which I have also owned! :)

congrats. i've got an 08 and with a blink of an eye, i'm at 68K. Only the inverter pump went out (under warranty), regular oil changes with Mobil 1, changed the trans fluid and mine just goes and goes.

there's a reason why the prius is one of, if not THE most reliable car.

    cheers.

Each day I am delighted when my wife and I can think of a good reason to go somewhere. I find the Prius as absolutely wonderful vehicle, with fewer compromises than any vehicle I have owned.

Last week I installed Michlien Energy Saver tires. The comfort level raised (for the better) a whole "click" on my scale for road noise, glide, and handling. Next week we leave to drive across the country ... I am really looking forward to the ride.

    Hey Brian,
The center cap knockout seal is a replacement for OEM center caps on my stock alloy wheels. You can buy them at any hardware store for 80 cents to a dollar. They are just electrical knockout seals.

    Enjoy your Prius.
