It's a little concerning that the exhaust pipe is at the lowest point. Usually exhaust pipes are tucked up a bit, and something else is "sacrificial".

most Toyotas have exhaust pipe as lowest, well, it is same point as those side guards. For a long time, Toyota's have had almost flat rear floor which meant that exhaust pipe is never tucked in and you can always see it if you look below... never heard of anyone having any issue with that though, it is not part of the car that bottoms out.

You should've seen the Gen 5 Camry (2002-2006). The exhaust pipe has a kink and for some reason, that kink goes down towards the road, rather than horizontally.

These cars certainly are lowered, especially the red, green, and silver models that are on 17" wheels - look at the wheel-well gap at the top of the tire, particularly at the rear wheel.

I wonder how they did that, or if short springs are already available.

In the shots showing the rear axles I think you can see a spring clamp that is squashing the spring - probably just for static show, not for actual use on the highway.

It was much improved over the generation before it (1997-2001). It was more spacious (1 cu ft/28 litres more cabin space), quiet, smooth and in XLE trim, luxurious with a manual rear sunshade, gathered leather door trim, chrome door handles from an LS400 (Yup, took 10 years for it to move down to a Toyota lol), white backlit gauges (in a time when most cars in North America were using green) and a large 16 cu ft (453 litres) boot.

I thought they sold this generation of Camry in Europe? Or at least in some countries. This would be the last generation sold in Europe. (It is pretty big compared to the more modestly sized Avensis).

Maybe a few more minutes covering things likely to be important to prospective buyers.

When you miss important differences, it conveys an unstated implication that they don't exist.

two different cars for different buyers. nothing to compare really. one is a long time leader in all things green, the other is just a wannabe, and impractical for mass sales.

You maybe should have posted in this thread:

I thought I'd found the worst ever example of silly review journalism, posted a link in that thread. But you've put me to shame with this one, lol. Unlike Bob, I gave up at page 2, when it asked me to register. But I like this gem from page 1:

The old Prius that's still in showrooms today is ugly and the interior is dated

    Like this too:

The all-new Prius is a much nicer car than the old one

    Didn't read past page one.
But I'd say the query in the headline is nothing Tesla will worry about.

There are always exceptions somewhere, but I don't see a lot of people that want a Tesla and are focused on owning one, changing their minds based solely on any improvements in the next Gen Prius.

The Prius being a Hybrid and Tesla an Electric give them a traceable automotive genetic connection, but I'd still say for respective buyers of each it mostly an Apples to Oranges situation.
