Yes it's possible. Leaving work, I had remotely started the car with an aftermarket system. It's a warm January and was carrying my jacket while talking to a coworker. When we got to the car, I opened the door, tossed my jacket in, and continued talking. The remote start turns the car off when a door is opened then locks it when closed. Ended up calling a locksmith at 0700 because I only have 1 fob.
1st time in 9yrs. From what I've read, it might be a good idea to get a backup fob now because getting a replacement without the original is ridiculously expensive if something happens to it.

Been dabbling in reddit. Another popular acronym is tl;dr - too long; didn't read
Spare keyfob on the way. Shopping and researching for mini vci cable with TS.
I'm seeing there may be a driver issue not using 32bit win7.

Same here. And I'm as mean as the rest of you. Not sharing either. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Good idea on the spare fob and the mini vci, @sumguy. I have heard third hand of people managing to install the drivers on a 64 bit OS, but it sounds like it was a pain. I'd stick with 32 bit. In fact, I use it on XP running in VirtualBox on an old Linux laptop with the wifi turned off. TS is all I use it for.

A while back my wife and I went out for some errands in her 2004 Prius and I could only lock the car with the physical key. My fob is a bit beat up. (Normally I leave it in the console of my 2013 PIP.) I said that we should try her fob when we get home. She indicated that we did not need to wait, her fob was in her purse stashed in the under floor area in the back.
